PSE Bows was founded by Pete Shepley about 40 years ago.  Pete had the idea that he could improve upon the bows that he saw on the market back then.  So from these humble beginnings he started out sketching his original ideas for improving the world of archery.    So was born PSE Bows in a small building in Indiana with an idea to make the world's best bows.

It was from this location that PSE flipped the archery world upside down, when he took his PSE compound bow to a local Indiana archery tournament.   The local archers were amazed at the radically new designed bow.  They were floored by the ease at which the bow could be drawn and held.  After this demonstration it didn't take long for the orders to start pouring in.  The PSE Compound bows were a smash hit that day and everyday since.

After this event PSE Bows went on to get a license under the Allen Patent to produce these new compound bows.    After a few short years Pete couldn't keep up with all the orders that he was getting so he had to expand his little company. 

PSE Bows was founded on a philosophy of  innovation and research.  PSE Archery lives and breaths this idea in every pse recurve bow, hunting bow or compound bow they make.

A great example of the superb technology and reseach that goes into their bows can be witnessed by the X-Force Omen.  The X-Force Omen bow has set a new standard for all other companies to follow. Not only is the bow the fastest bow in the world, sending an arrow at target at a blistering 366 fps, it is also the most efficient bow on the planet.
